Run a small project from setup to delivery
Bring the Board workflow together on a small real piece of work with a clear result.
Run a small project from setup to delivery
Choose a manageable piece of work your team needs—for example, publishing a customer welcome article. Keep the result small enough to complete, review and hand over.
Set up the work
1. Open Board, choose the correct Board and check for an existing project. If needed, use Projects → New Project. Write the result, scope and completion criteria, set realistic planning dates and save with Create Project. 2. Check for the intended tasks first and reuse any that already exist. For missing tasks, use top + → Create New → New Task. Give each a complete description and choose the project under Relationships → Project. Save with Create Task. 3. Open each task to set its responsible person, due date, priority and estimate as needed. Use Update Task, then check the saved values in Table. 4. Add blocks dependencies only where one task genuinely supplies another’s required input. If the work belongs in a sprint, select its Sprint relationship separately. Save dependency or Sprint changes with Update Task.
Produce review and deliver
5. Complete the outputs and keep the exact versions in Files. Use Related Documents → Attach from Vault on the relevant task and save the association with Update Task. 6. Review the output against the task’s criteria. Record a specific decision in Comments, post it with the send arrow and recheck any corrections. 7. Update task statuses to reflect the actual work and save with Update Task. Do not mark the delivery task Done until the intended recipient has the agreed output and any required acceptance is recorded. 8. Reopen the project and check the intended task set. When the project’s complete scope is satisfied, select Completed → Update Project and reopen it to confirm.
Final check
Can someone else find the project, understand each task, open the intended outputs and see what was accepted? If not, fix that specific gap before calling the work complete.
Expected result: a small delivery with clear ownership, usable outputs and a readable completion decision—not merely a set of completed status labels.
