Leave a meeting and check its history
Choose the right departure for your role, then find the matching session in Meet History.
Before you leave
Read back the decision, accepted actions and open questions. Check who is still connected and whether you are leaving only your own connection or ending the meeting for everybody.
Leave or end the session
- If you only need to depart, use the meeting provider’s leave control. Leaving your connection does not mean the meeting has ended for everyone else.
- If you are the host and everyone’s session should end, confirm that the participants are ready, then use End session for all and its confirmation. Do not choose it merely because your own work is finished or the scheduled end time has arrived.
- Check the provider’s resulting message. If the outcome is unclear, inspect the current state before repeating an action that affects everybody.
- Return to Meet → History. Find the same room and session using its date, start time and session reference where visible. Repeated joins can create different sessions in the same room.
- Inspect the session’s status, duration, participant join/leave information and recording information separately. Make sure you are not reading a different completed session with a similar name.
- If the provider reports the session ended but History differs, refresh the retained view and compare the same record again. Keep the exact mismatch for your administrator rather than starting another meeting to obtain a different history row.
Expected result
You know whether you left your connection or ended the conference, and you have checked the matching Workroomly history record.
Remember: A completed history row does not prove that a recording exists or that every attendee accepted the business decisions. If duration or leave information is missing, treat it as missing information—not proof that somebody is still connected.
